about lauren.

Lauren Leigh Henry’s journey into healing began with music and breath. In 2007, she was studying music education and voice performance, drawn to the healing power of singing and healing as a collective. Singing was her first love, and breath was her entry point—not just to sound, but to feeling. When life took an unexpected turn during the 2008 recession, she left music school and found her way into nursing—a shift that shaped the next decade of her life.

Lauren has been a licensed critical care RN since 2011 and holds board certifications as a holistic nurse (HN-BC), certified critical care nurse (CCRN), and clinical trauma [informed] professional (CCTP). Her experience in these high-acuity critical care settings, not only developed taught her about the human spirit—its fragility, its strength, and the ways trauma gets stored in the body when it doesn’t feel safe.

Over time, she found herself drawn to the places where the science of healing meets the spiritual journey.

She studied yoga, breathwork and ayurveda in an ashram in Rishikesh, India (2016) and recently obtained a 200hr yoga teaching certification.

She received certification in Spiritual Psychology from the University of Santa Monica (2019) with an emphasis on 1:1 facilitation as well as completed foundational coursework in the specialization of Integrative Medicine & Herbalism from the University of Minnesota (2023).

She’s studied at length the work of somatics and trauma in the body, as well as hands off and hands on energy healing, and continues to expand her knowledge both experientially in her work and through the work of her teachers.
