about lauren.

Lauren Leigh Henry’s journey into healing began with music and breath. In 2007, she was studying music education and voice performance, drawn to the healing power of singing and healing as a collective. Singing was her first love, and breath was her entry point—not just to sound, but to feeling. When life took an unexpected turn during the 2008 recession, she left music school and found her way into nursing—a shift that shaped the next decade of her life.

Lauren has been a licensed critical care RN since 2011 and holds board certifications as a holistic nurse (HN-BC), certified critical care nurse (CCRN), and clinical trauma [informed] professional (CCTP). Her experience at the bedside, especially in high-acuity critical care settings, taught her about the human spirit—its fragility, its strength, and the ways trauma gets stored in the body when it doesn’t feel safe. Over time, she found herself drawn to the places where the science of healing meets the spiritual journey.

In 2016, Lauren traveled to Rishikesh, India, for a residential yoga study program at the Anand Prakash Yoga Ashram, and later studied Ayurveda in Goa. That same year, she began mentoring others and leading workshops—a path that eventually grew into full retreats across Southern California. In 2019, she completed a two-year graduate-level program in Spiritual Psychology through the University of Santa Monica, a life-changing experience that taught her how to meet herself and others with compassion, presence, and radical honesty.

Her work has continued to evolve. She holds a certificate in Integrative Medicine through the University of Minnesota and brings in elements like mindfulness, herbalism, and aromatherapy to her healing and nursing practice. In 2019, she also began working in ceremonial spaces with sacred plant medicines, offering live sound healing rooted in deep listening and reverence.
